Description |

Red's Java House on the Embarcadero and Bryant St. has been a long-time favorite landmark since 1923. Slated for demolition many times in the past, Red's manages to hold tenaciously onto the Embarcadero like a barnicle on a mooring. Everyone loves Red's for a hot dog and a beer.
This print is from a series of hard ground etchings that originated when I worked in the Financial District of San Francisco. Most of these prints are locations that were within walking distance of my office during the lunch hour, and were found when I went out for walks around the city. Some of views of the locations have now changed due to new building construction, especially in the South-of-Market area.
This series is available in an open edition, but is limited to stock on hand, so please inquire as to availability before purchase.
