  Description

When I was a kid I loved to play with Hot Wheel cars. In fact, I often loved them until their wheels came off. Needless to say, none of them were able to survive to this day. In that regard, it’s a great advantage to be an artist – you can simply recreate your memories with paint on a canvas. Here are a few of my favorite cars from my childhood toybox. Each image is an acrylic on canvas panel, 9 x 12 inches. This one was called “Heavy Chevy,” a 1970 Chevrolet Maverick. The original car was lost to the traces of time, possibly buried in the backyard of a house in Albuquerque. Sold. Private Collection.
