This is the painting I have donated to the 2009 Artspan Benefit Art Auction.
Artspan is a non-profit arts organization that supports visual artists in San Francisco and operates the San Francisco open studios event every October. As a member of Artspan, I strongly support their mission.
Each year Artspan holds a fund-raising auction, and this year the auction is being held at the SOMArts gallery in San Francisco on March 14th.
Event information and a link to the ticket sales page can be found at:
http://www.artspan.org/
The painting depicts a fine reflection of buildings down at 2nd and Market sts. in the Financial District of San Francisco.
Have you ever waited for a 38 Geary bus or hailed a taxi from here? Just look up.
This is a quarter-size study for a 36" x 48" composition. Painted in Acrylic enamel on the reverse of a plexiglas panel.
The painting is framed.
